A presentation and an interactive seminar on the results of the Fit4Austria programme took place in Banja Luka. The programme is being implemented by the Representative Office of the Republika Srpska in Austria in collaboration with the Banja Luka Innovation Centre and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.
At the event held at the Hotel Meriot, the results of the programme’s implementation over several years were presented, along with details of the new round, which is due to start in the autumn. Fit4Austria aims to support companies from the Republika Srpska in internationalisation, preparing for the EU market and networking with Austrian partners.
Director Mladen Filipović emphasised that the Representative Office’s work aims to foster stable, long-term economic relations between the Republika Srpska and Austria: “Our priority is to present the Republika Srpska as a reliable partner in Austria and the EU. I would particularly like to highlight the Representative Office’s Business Register, a German-language online platform on which more than 150 companies from the Republika Srpska are already listed and which is available to our partners in Austria.”
The Director of the Banja Luka Innovation Centre, Drago Gverić, emphasised the importance of the partnership: “Today’s seminar was an opportunity for programme participants to exchange experiences with companies that are considering joining. This creates a network of contacts that offers our companies practical support on their way to the Austrian and EU markets.”
In addition to local entrepreneurs, the presentation was attended by representatives from the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation, the Investment and Development Bank of the Republika Srpska, the Chamber of Commerce, the tourism organisation, as well as local communities and other institutions.
